Solo & Ensemble
FOA does not maintain a Solo and Ensemble Music List. The choice of music is at the discretion of each director and does not need to be taken from any set list at this time. The suggestions linked below are a resource for members but not mandatory for participation in Solo & Ensemble Music Performance Assessment.

In order to be eligible for State Solo & Ensemble MPA, the selection must be classical literature of a caliber appropriate to the level of the student performing and to the formality of the event. This category of performance at the district high school level receiving a Superior or Excellent rating would enable the student performer to go on and participate in State Solo and Ensemble MPA.
Non-traditional published literature (Broadway, show tunes, movie themes, etc.) will qualify for performance comments and a rating at district MPA but will not qualify for participation in State MPA. See the FOA Handbook for more information.
